Cherokee Removal Memorial Park (Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon)

Cherokee Removal Memorial Park (Meigs Co., TN) – While working at Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, & Cannon, I had an opportunity to work on the design for this park from conceptual design through construction documents. Through the construction phase, I contracted with BWSC to serve as the on-site Resident Project Representative. While serving in that role, I monitored construction from ground breaking to completion and coordinated with contractors, owners, and engineers. During my time on-site, I was responsible for design and layout of interpretive panels on history wall that tell the story of the Cherokee Trail of Tears and the role of Blythe Ferry. Working on this project was a great experience and allowed me to be involved in the construction process from the first conceptual drawings to the final construction punch list.
